Happy New Year!

I've been seeing a lot of the Force FX lightsabers everywhere, from Sharper Image to even GameStop and Borders Bookstore. It's pretty cool because they're on display and you can try them out. Has anyone bought one? I remember when they came out they were pretty pricey but now it's pretty reasonable.

Anyways, I was just browsing the official Star Wars site and they had this there:

I thought it was pretty funny, actually. They teach you how to draw Kit Fisto! It's in the Star Wars Kids section but I think it's appropriate for even the oldest among us. Check it out here.

It's November 1, 2005! The day we've all been waiting for:

Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith on DVD!

Also available - Battlefront II, play as a Jedi!

More info on the DVD is available on the main site.

I finally decided to change the background music to the awesome Battle of the Heroes theme from Episode III. I'm gonna get my copy as soon as possible; bootleg copies just didn't cut it for me.

Be sure to check out all the bonus footage when you buy your copy!

I suppose it's time for a new entry!

Well, I've been checking the daily box office pretty frequently and Star Wars is still keeping it's place in the Top 10!! About a week ago it actually dropped down to #5 after a long week or so of being ahead of Longest Yard. And lately it's been #7 after the release of Batman, Land of the Dead, and Bewitched.

But get this, it's made $717,403,392 worldwide so far! (For reference, Episode I made $924,317,558 and Episode II made $649,398,328 worldwide.)

IMDB.com has a star rating for movie-watchers to rate movies with. Episode III used to be ranked in the Top 250 Movies of all time with an 8.5 out of 10 stars but as time went by, all those Star Wars haters had to drop it's rating to a 7.9. And don't get me wrong, a 7.9 by IMDB's members is a "good" movie. But I gave Episode III a 10!

IMDB's User Rating:

7.9 of 10 stars from 57,884 votes

Maybe you should rate it too! Fill those empty stars up!

If you still haven't seen Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, you've probably been living under a rock... seriously.

I know it's been a while since the update. First order of business: the code for the opening crawl above IS on the site. If only you had looked for it before asking for it again. A.K.A. Scroll down.

As of Friday, June 3, 2005, Episode III has made $290,115,000 nationally and $255,992,846 overseas for a whopping total of $546,107,846 worldwide!!!

Even with the recent openings of The Longest Yard, Madagascar, Cinderella Man, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Star Wars is still coming on strong after 16 days!

Today I was at the Javits Center in NYC for the 2005 Book Expo and one of the booths there had Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and a handful of Stormtroopers for photo-ops. Of course I had to get my pictures taken with them. It was to promote that particular booth's book publisher. (Over 5000 booths were there.) Their costumes were pretty intricate and I got a Darth Vader 18 Month calendar to go with the pics! . Hopefully I'll get to go again tomorrow. Unfortunately, they won't be there again. I'm glad I caught them just before they were about to leave!

New update! In 4 days in theaters, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is just making everyone think "Why would I watch anything else?"

Thursday through Sunday, it made $158.5 million!!!

Since I like comparing Star Wars to other crap movies, I'll show you the box office comparison like my last post:

$158,500,000 made by Revenge of the Sith is the equivalent to the totals of Monster-In-Law + Kicking and Screaming + Crash + Unleashed + Kingdom of Heaven. Those 5 movies are the next 5 movies in positions #2 through #6 behind the #1 movie in the world and Star War just owned them all in 4 days.

ROTS has sold an average of eight tickets per second online at Fandango.com and is expected to retain its number one status through the next two weeks.
